Rising 310 metres above Astana’s skyline, Abu Dhabi Plaza stands as a defining symbol of Kazakhstan’s ambition.
The project includes five towers, the largest being the 80-storey principal tower, the tallest in Central Asia, anchoring the city’s masterplan along the axis between the Bayterek Monument and Astana’s Green Axis. Conceived as a fully integrated mixed-use destination, combining retail, offices, apartments, a hotel, and serviced residences, the development reflects a vision for a vibrant, world-class capital.
HKR delivered the project through their Abu Dhabi office, coordinating a global team of consultants under a comprehensive Design Management Plan. BIM was deployed at scale to manage complexity, simulate construction logistics, reduce risk, and unlock prefabrication opportunities, while rigorous testing ensured resilience against extreme winter conditions and local supply constraints.
