The proposed masterplan comprises a legible hierarchy of streets and spaces. This hierarchy is further defined through subtle variations of dimension, surface treatment and detailing.
HKR aimed to create active and useful spaces to accommodate the necessary functions of urban life such as the provision of strong and safe linkages, areas to sit, relax and engage with others, areas to play and to explore but more importantly create a welcoming and inclusive spaces which encourage and facilitate a special urban quality.
