HKR Architects, appointed by Lee Valley Properties Ltd, has secured planning for Roxwell Workshops, a light industrial co-working scheme in Walthamstow, North-East London.
The 6,085 sqm, four-storey development will replace five existing buildings and include parking, amenities, and shared terraces. The design combines art-deco and industrial styles, inspired by local red brick and dark frames.
The building offers flexible floor plans for various uses, including workshops, offices, or warehouses, with a higher ground floor for industrial use. Upper floors will feature terraces for collaborative workspaces. Sustainability measures, including solar panels and roof windows for natural light, exceed requirements, with additional flood risk precautions.
