The Market Hall will be re-developed into a vibrant food and retail market, opening onto a new public square. Surrounding buildings will feature ground-floor retail spaces to promote pedestrian activity, with office and residential areas above, creating a lively, mixed-use area in Dublin’s 24-hour city.

A community sports center will also be incorporated into the plan. The renovation of the Market Hall and its immediate surroundings will serve as a catalyst for the wider rejuvenation of the Markets area, linking Henry Street, Smithfield, and Heuston along the LUAS corridor and helping to establish the area as a key city destination.
