Business Development and Bid Manager Facilitator
We are looking for a Business Development and Bid Manager Facilitator to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving our business growth through effective bid management and business development strategies!
Role description
1. Bid Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive bid strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Identify, assess, and qualify bid opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, private organizations, and industry publications.
Coordinate consortia bid teams and coordinate all aspects of the bid process, including kickoff meetings, strategy sessions, and proposal development.
Oversee the development of high-quality, compelling proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements, technical specifications, and evaluation criteria.
Ensure bid compliance with all solicitation requirements, including formatting guidelines, submission deadlines, and documentation requirements.
Conduct post-bid analysis to evaluate bid performance, identify lessons learned, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Business Development:
Develop and execute business development strategies to expand our client base and acceptable new sectors.
Identify new business opportunities and market trends, conducting market research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
Assist in managing HKR team to cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to enhance business development efforts and drive growth.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including leadership, to develop and implement targeted business development initiatives.
Identify industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads for HKR leadership team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in bid management, business development, or related field.
Proven track record of successfully managing and winning bids in a competitive environment.
Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify and assist HKR leadership team to pursue new business opportunities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in bid management software, In Design, Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
KPI’s
Win Rate: Measure the percentage of bids won out of the total number of bids submitted, indicating the effectiveness of bid management strategies in securing new contracts.
Bid-to-Win Ratio: Evaluate the ratio of successful bids to the total number of bids submitted, providing insight into the competitiveness and efficiency of the bid process.
Bid Turnaround Time: Track the time taken to prepare and submit bids, ensuring timely responses to bid opportunities and minimizing delays in the bidding process.
Bid Cost Ratio: Assess the ratio of bid costs to the value of contracts won, ensuring that bid expenses are proportional to the revenue generated from successful bids.
Customer Satisfaction: Measure client satisfaction with the bid process and outcomes, ensuring that bids meet client expectations and needs.
Bid Accuracy: Evaluate the accuracy of bid estimates and proposals compared to actual project costs and timelines, ensuring realistic and achievable bid commitments.
Pipeline Value: Monitor the total value of bids in the pipeline, providing insight into the potential revenue and growth opportunities for the organization.
Client Retention: Track the percentage of repeat business from existing clients, indicating the effectiveness of bid management in maintaining client relationships and loyalty.
