Intermediate Electrical Engineer - London office

The Role:

Assist the Senior Associate with delivery of projects, maintaining technical quality, professionalism, completing all design activities to project milestones / programme. An essential part of this role is to support the Leadership Team with technical reviews, presentations and guidance as well as providing direction to the various technical subconsultants as part of the project delivery team.

The ideal candidate will be a competent & experienced electrical designer, we are looking for a self-starter that can manage and develop resource to meet project demands whilst maintaining the highest level of technical excellence and regulatory compliance and work as part of the wider engineering and architectural teams.

Skills:

Educated to degree level in electrical engineering or relevant construction discipline and having gained relevant practical experience in a similar role, you will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of electrical design, in the UK and Internationally, with a wide range of building types.

You will be required to review, understand and produce detail design packages of all electrical engineering systems, including but not limited to: -

•          Lighting Systems and Controls

•          MV/LV distribution system

•          Fire, Security & Life Safety Engineering Systems

•          CCTV, Access Control, ICT & Building Management Systems

For this position you will ideally have experience across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Healthcare, Education and Commercial in the Middle east. An understanding of design software packages, including AutoCAD and REVIT/BIM 360 is essential.

Responsibilities:

The main role responsibilities will include:

•          Lead and manage multiple technical design packages, managing designer performance and

making appropriate technical responses.

Pier reviews of other designs and providing appropriate direction to clients.

•          Technical responsibility for Electrical Building Services output on projects.

•          Responsibility for key client management.

•          Provide direction, motivation, inspiration, and leadership for other junior members of the Architect and MEP teams as well as sub consultants.

•          Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and leading the project’s technical planning process.
